Kerim Kotan is a senior investment banker with 23 years of experience with a transaction volume of USD 17.2 billion and 32 closed Mergers & Acquisitions and equity financing deals. Kotan is a Senior Partner at Ventura Partners, a leading independent M&A advisory house in Turkey, whose partners have completed 62 M&A transactions and equity financings to date. Kotan in the past had spearheaded other leading local independent M&A houses as well as the investment banking advisory arms of leading international investment banks such Republic National Bank of New York, ABN AMRO Bank, and Standard Bank in Turkey. Kotan is also an avid Venture Capital investor. His recent investments include Sports Digitale, tiplay, Hadsup, AloTech, ForFarming, and Help Steps. Kotan has a well-established experience in varying industries including mobile gaming, ad tech, agritech, health & pharma, energy, food & beverage, B2C, B2B, SaaS software and fintech.

Kotan has provided differentiated strategic and tactical advice to both public and private companies across a broad range of industry sectors and international geographies where his clients are operating. He has helped clients identify and pursue strategic priorities, devise strategies to enhance shareholder value, and develop new ideas and deeper perspective to achieve their goals. Kotan has advised boards and management teams with independent judgment and deep expertise as they navigate their most important transactions and strategic decisions, as well as they, communicate their strategies and M&A transactions to their shareholders and other stakeholders. On the sell-side, Kotan had led the execution of some of the most successful corporate divestment and partnership auctions in Turkey.

Kotan also actively supports the young leaders of tomorrow and entrepreneurs via his involvement at Endeavor as an Advisory Board member. Born and raised in Istanbul, Kotan had graduated from Cushing Academy in the US (‘91); Lehigh University (US) with a BSc. degree in Mech. Engr. (‘95); and Cornell University (US) with an MBA degree (‘97).
